The CVFD has immediate openings for Volunteer Firefighters. Experience is a plus, but we can train folks that have the ability and willingness to become a firefighter. Our department has a small number of career staff, but the majority are volunteer, and the trucks don’t roll to fire calls without them.

Except for Cadet members, all members must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and have a high school diploma or GED. Residency in the Colington area is required.
